FAQs
Got questions? I’ve got answers. As your strategic travel partner, I’ve compiled these responses to clarify my process, my fee structures, and how I protect the integrity of your travel investment.

The terms are often used interchangeably, but in practice they describe very different levels of service.
A traditional travel agent primarily books flights and hotels — a transactional service focused on reservations. A travel advisor operates as a strategic partner: designing the full experience, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, providing on-trip support, and advocating for the client when things go wrong.
As a travel advisor, I don't just book your trip. I design it, protect it, and manage it — from the first conversation to the moment you return home.

For properties in my preferred partner network — booking through me unlocks benefits that are not available when booking direct or through third-party sites. These typically include:
Complimentary daily breakfast for two
A room upgrade at check-in, subject to availability
A property credit (typically $100) for dining or spa
Early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability
A personalized welcome amenity
Price watch
These perks are provided by the hotel as part of their preferred program.

Curated Experiences: Custom itineraries, private tours, and exclusive activities.
Group & Strategic Offsites: Strategic venue sourcing, room block management, and contract advocacy for corporate events.

-
I manage travel globally. My value lies in my strategic vetting and extensive network of on-the-ground partners. I ensure every destination is qualified for safety, luxury, and seamless execution.
-
My process is designed to move from vision to execution with total clarity:
Discovery: We begin with a 30-minute "Strategic Design Consultation" to discuss your objectives, travel style, and budget.
Tier Selection: Based on our call, we identify the service tier that best fits the complexity of your trip or event. Once the design fee is secured, the work begins.
Design & Curation: I create a tailored proposal or production schedule. For custom itineraries, this includes up to two rounds of revisions to ensure every detail is aligned.
Advocacy: I handle all supplier coordination and negotiations, securing VIP perks and monitoring for price drops. For groups, I provide oversight of the investment.
Preparation: You receive your final itinerary, including a custom Google Map and a clear Order of Operations for in-destination support.
Execution: While you are traveling, you have access to vetted on-the-ground contacts for immediate needs, with me as your strategic advocate via WhatsApp for any necessary escalations.
-
Solo travel is my personal favorite way to explore. I specialize in helping first-time solo travelers (particularly women) navigate the world with confidence. I prioritize properties that offer the perfect balance of security, inspired design, and a "sense of place."
-
Yes. I operate on a tiered Design Fee model based on the complexity of the trip:
Leisure & Individual Design
Essential Curation: $0 for hotel-only bookings.
Curated Design: $85/day (Single-stop, up to 7 days).
Inspired Design: $95/day (Multi-stop, up to 14 days).
Elevated Concierge: $125/day (Full-scale management of dining, spa, and other activities).
What if I just need advice but want to secure the reservations myself? I offer a standalone Consultation ($150). This is a 60-minute strategic session for clients who want my professional insight and destination vetting without committing to a full design package.
-
For design-tier clients, I provide proactive support through a dedicated trip app, a custom Google Map, and direct WhatsApp access to me for real-time assistance.
As part of my commitment to seamless execution, your final itinerary will include vetted in-destination contacts (such as the hotel concierge or your private tour lead). These should serve as your first point of contact for immediate, on-the-ground needs. Should you require further escalation or advocacy, I am available via WhatsApp to step in and manage the situation.

Individual/Leisure: 6–9 months for international; 3 months for domestic.
Groups/MICE: 9–12 months is ideal for securing preferred rates and cohesive room blocks for corporate retreats, meetings, and social milestones.
Major Sporting & Global Events: For high-compression events (March Madness, World Cup, BNP Paribas Open), I recommend a minimum of 12–18 months to secure anchor inventory before the market becomes restricted.
-
Travel is dynamic. I personally assist you in navigating supplier policies and making adjustments. To protect your financial investment, I highly recommend a travel protection plan.
-
MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions. It refers to the specialized planning and logistics required for corporate group travel — events where the stakes are high, the guest counts are significant, and the contracts are complex.
MICE planning can go well beyond booking a room block. It can include strategic venue sourcing, contract negotiation, attrition risk management, master billing oversight, transportation coordination, and even on-site execution. I specialize in providing organizations with the contract advocacy and logistical precision that most internal planning teams don't have the bandwidth or supplier relationships to manage alone.
-
For MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), I utilize a per-person investment model. This ensures that every guest’s logistics are managed with precision. My tiers for group work include:
Sourcing Only ($0): Property research and initial rate negotiation; I deliver the contract, and you manage the logistics post-signature.
The Foundation ($150/person): Includes sourcing plus Contract Advocacy and bill verification to safeguard your budget.
The Journey ($175/person): All Foundation services plus full management of transportation and curated group activities.
The Production ($225/person): Full-scale planning including curating and coordinating your creative partners (AV, Photo, Decor) and a master production schedule to protect your vision.
The On-Site Partner ($275/person): Comprehensive planning plus on-site execution. I am physically present to serve as your dedicated partner, protecting your ability to lead.

Not required — but for most couples, it's the difference between enjoying their wedding and managing it.
A destination wedding involves coordinating accommodations for guests who are traveling from different cities, managing a room block contract with real financial stakes, handling individual booking requests and special needs, and ensuring transfers, excursions, and private dining experiences are organized across the entire group.
I act as the dedicated travel logistics partner for the couple and their guests — handling everything from room block negotiation to individual guest communication — so the couple can be fully present for their celebration rather than fielding questions from people about their hotel checkout time.
-
Yes. Under my Comprehensive Planning and Production tiers, I provide vendor management —Photography, AV, Decor, and Catering. I build and manage the master production schedule so the host can be fully present.
-
This is a cornerstone of my group service. I don’t just find a venue; I represent your interests during the negotiation. I protect your budget by securing favorable terms and verifying that the final billing accurately reflects the agreed-upon execution.
-
A room block is a reserved set of guest rooms at a hotel, secured at a negotiated group rate for a specific set of dates. Hotels require groups to commit to a minimum number of rooms — and if that minimum isn't met by the pickup deadline, the organization can be liable for the unsold rooms under what's called an attrition clause.
Managing a room block well means negotiating favorable attrition terms upfront, monitoring pickup throughout the booking window, and having a resell strategy in place if numbers fall short. This is one of the most financially exposed areas of group travel planning, and it's a core part of what I manage on behalf of every group client.
-
An attrition penalty is a financial charge applied when a group fails to fill a minimum percentage of their contracted room block. Standard hotel contracts often require groups to fill 80–90% of their block — if you fall short, you pay for the unsold rooms regardless.
Avoiding attrition penalties starts at the contract stage, not the event stage. I negotiate attrition thresholds, pickup deadlines, and resell policies before a contract is signed — protecting my clients from financial exposure before it becomes a problem. This is one of the most significant ways a strategic travel partner saves organizations money compared to managing group contracts in-house.

For Elevated Concierge clients, I’m available via WhatsApp throughout your trip for real-time support and escalation.
Your final itinerary includes vetted in-destination contacts — your hotel concierge, private guide, or ground operator — who serve as your first point of contact for immediate needs.
If a situation requires advocacy beyond what an on-the-ground contact can resolve, I step in directly. This includes, hotel issues, vendor no-shows, or any situation where having a dedicated advocate makes a material difference to your experience.
For added protection, I strongly recommend a travel protection plan for every trip. I can guide you through the right coverage options as part of the planning process.
